Yosaka

HI there!

Osaka.Hot city. It reminds me of a band called Five Thirty who sang  “The Air Conditioned Nightmare” (I have the 12” somewhere at the Lab) (and I also remember that EP ‘cause I played it at 33 instead of 45 and thought it sounded cooler that way). Anyway, we all know it now: even if it’s 45 °c outside we make sur eto bring a jacket with us when enter a shop, where it feels literally like walking into a fridge.
Getting ready for the soundcheck for tonight’s show at Quattro.
Last night, we spent a cool night in bars. Drinking Soju while listening to Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance (Phoebe), beers with Kinks & Beatles in the background (Mojo?), and then Vodka while dancing to some Bowie, Ramones or Clash songs (Rock Rock).  Happy, yet tired.
Bye now,

X

Black to Back…

Hey!

So we’re back to work. After a few weeks off, we’re together again, making noise in a room. It’s the same as the rehearsals except now we’ll turn our backs to each other (except for the drummers) and play for an imaginary audience. 3 days to improve sounds, songs, intros, endings, speeches, dance moves and all that jazz.

On August 4th. we’ll fly to Japan, and land in Osaka. Our first show will take place in Osaka’s Quattro on August 6th. Then, we’ll pack our bags and ride a bullet train to Tokyo for Summer Sonic’s beach Stage, where we’ll take  revenge for last year’s tropical storm which deprived us from performing…I’ll bring an umbrella just in case. Finally, we’ll end in Nagoya on August 9th. There will be some promo bits before, in between and after.

I guess everyone wonders what kind of release we’ll be promoting!
The answer is “Singles Club” a compilation of all our singles (16!) plus a new exclusive song recorded during the sessions of album #5 called “Me And The Princess”  The collection of singles  will be, for now, a Japanese only release. .
The compilation will come out in September 2010. It will be followed in October 2010 by a EP of new songs. The new album will be out in early  February 2011.

I guess this is already too much information for one post and there’s a whole lot more to come. So I’ll get back to you guys, very shortly.
