News from the Lab
Helloo, We’re almost there, putting the final touches to the songs for our #5 album. It’s too early to describe it (and I’d love to avoid the usual promo crap “our best album to date” “we took risks” etc…) but I guess that it will be quite different from what we’ve done so far. New dynamics, new themes, new grooves…It’s also...

Winterlong
Hé, It’s that time again, WINTER, when we always record our albums. It makes we want to change that routine, so let me write it loud: T80’s 6th album, we’ll be recorded either in summer or at the very least in springtime. That said, we still have to work on album #5 first, which is what we’ve started today. Good News! It’s happening now in Rouen, at our HQ, our dear...

Two Thousand and nine light years from home
Salut, 2009 is nearly over, let me tell you how it was for us. It went sooooo fast, it’s almost unbelievable. It started with snowfalls  in Germany and ended on an perfect Indian summer morning in NYC. In between, we travelled all around the globe (Europe, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, South & North America). It definitely felt like a proper world tour, with lots of work and lots of fun. ...

Hey! An old friend of ours visited us yesterday at our studio and he said more or less that  we looked like shit (some more than others, someone whose name begins with a X). Thanks, man. We might look older, thinner but at least it means that we’ve been working hard at the TLab. We’ve just finished a serie of 3 intensive weeks of rehearsing/ arranging new songs.
 To be honest, at...

hého Activity Center has been out in the US for a week now, we’ve getting some really good reviews, which is good news. I’ll gather some of them and will post external links later on. We’ve been working hard at the T’lab putting the final touches to the Fugu album and straight after these sessions we set up a lot of gear (all our toys!) in our live room and we’ve...

Our Favorite Shops
Hey, Long time, no see! Here’s some news: -T80 hit the USA: Tomorrow (November 24th) Activity Center will be out in the USA! The artwork is slightly different from the original version (different font, alternate colors for the main logo), but I guess the big surprise is the presence of 6 bonus tracks: All Around Christmas Goodboy All Around (Yuksek Remix) All Around (Chateau Marmont Remix)...

"This is it"
Ouch…pfff…. So, That’s it…”This is it”…we played our last show for the Activity “Many People Complain” Center Tour. The very last show of the year. We started our journey at Evreux’s “Rock dans tous ses états” in May 08 and resumed it in NYC at the Mercury Lounge. What a great trip it has been. I don’t think have ever...

Come Fly With Me
Can’t believe that I’m typing these words and that I will post them from The plane, thanks to a wifi network available aboard. I guess there’s a word for that, might be modernity or modernism. The LA show was fantastic. I felt so good on stage that I couldn’t stop smiling. Thoughts kept coming to my mind: this is one of the last shows, I’m sharing a stage with...

"On my way to sunny California"
Hello, we’re sitting at the departure lounge (great band by the way), planning what we’ll do when we get to the states: shopping? swimming pool? erm…that’s all we can think of. It’s gonna be fun! Pedro just told me that the plane is not full (it’s always the first question he asks at the check-in desk), Raf had forgotten his boarding pass, he noticed it when...

hé, 2 days ago, I guess we did what was the last French show of the Activity Center Tour. We played Paris’ new club Le Scopitone only a few days after getting back from South America. I guess we wanted to throw a party with an informal show before going into some kind of hibernation. The show was fun, I’ve never been so close to an audience in years, it reminded me of our first...

Hey, The window is open, I hear unfamiliar sounds of birds singing , we’re still in Sao Paulo, and I’m tired…3 sleepless nights in South America (nice title for a remake), in a row, it’s a lot. We deejayed last night at a club called Gloria, it was really super cool. Med, Pedro & me took control of the desks. 3 brains (?), 6 hands, a selection of cool tracks (Aphex...

G.L.O.R.I.A!
hey! We’re in Sao Paulo, Brazil and I need to stop saying “gracias” to everybody: Obrigado. C’mon! My Spanish is a disgrace, but you can’t imagine how bad is my Portuguese. We’ll rely heavily on Pedro who has the vocabulary of a 6 year old Portuguese boy, but that’s still something. Montevideo was great, the show was cool. The only weird thing was to...

Montevideo 80
Hola, Once again I take this opportunity to write down a few words because “tonite’s gonna be a good…” (I hate that fucking song, but since we heard it 3 times at the same party in Buenos Aires, it has stuck in my head)…, yes, because tonight will be one of these long days that will stretch out on & on till we reach another country, Brazil namely. Still for now,...

Hé, We’re back in Argentina for 5 hours, and we’ll shortly be on our way to Montevideo. Last nite’s show was really cool, we had a lot of fun. Thank you dear Chilean fans. One of the highlights of the show was definitely when people sang the chorus of 1,000 times. Bravo, it was loud and in tune! I have to admit that Heartbeat’s ending was totally crazy. We kept stopping...

Oct 21st
Hi there, a few words before our first show in Chile. We’re liking more and more Santiago , a discreet city with a lot of charm. A bit like the people here. Great. We all look forward to performing tonight,  it seems that Personal Fest had taken place ages ago! We need some R’n’R action! 1,2,3,4-Let’s go! Yeah! Tomorrow will be a long journey to Uruguay, as we need to...

Ch-Ch-Chile!
Hola! Still travelling round South America. We left Buenos Aires one night ago and we are now in Chile, more precisely in Santiago. Our first impression is that both cities are quite different, B.A was strangely familiar and Santiago seems more “exotic”. Lucky guys, we are. Indeed. Last night was kinda quiet dinner in a  Peruvian restaurant (really good) a relaxed home party in an...
