All Areas

Hallo,

We’ve been in Germany (and Austria) for a few days now. It was quite a shock to come from Bandung straight to Vienna (with a 30 something hour trip). And, yes, we made it…

We all keep great memories from the Indonesian trip, the kindness of the people, the show itself etc. It felt just great.

Vienna & Munich were amazing, I think people -on this side of the border- are less shy, and don’t feel ashamed to “move their bodies”. They definitely come to dance. Which is great für mich. (Köln was a bit apathetic, but still cool.)

But there are more important questions: what are we going to watch on the van? Another Blake Edwards’ movie, How about Persona’s by Bergman…or should we all settle on the Anvil’s rockumentary?

Should we buy a football so we can play on the rest areas on the autobahn?

Should we put ice in the JD?

Did I really break something in my wrist while winning the boxing contest?

Should we book a hotel in Hamburg…or party all night long?

bis gleich!

Hi

Enjoying life in bandung.

Temperature is great for some European dudes such like us. It’s warm but not so humid. Anyway, it’s great to have some time off to visit the city, to feel the viiiiiibe. It’s a 48hr journey, we might as well have fun.

Tonite is the night.

we’ll be performing on the campus. The sound-system is great according to our FOH angyneer. The promoters have hired a weather-guru to prevent the rain from falling, let’s keep our fingers crossed: everything’s gonna be just fine!

Then, we’ll be off to Austria and then Germany…it’s hard to imagine us in the Northern hemisphere on Monday. Here’s the program:

May 2 - Chelsea Wien (A)

May 3 - Ampere München (D)

May 4 - Stadtgarten Köln (D)

May 5 - Karlstorbahnhof Heidelberg (D)

May 6 - Comet Berlin(D)

May 7 - Mondial Club Hamburg(D)

Why is that guy wearing a Tahiti 80 shirt in Jaws 3?

It’s 1983.

Just like today, many guys like to sport a moustache…C’mon, look closer, that guy is wearing a Tahiti 80 tee-shirt. This is crazyyyyyy!

He is either 3 years too late or 15 years ahead, he’s either a loser or a visionary.

Just like us (!).

Special thanks to Julien C from Switzerland, who managed not to fall asleep while watching “Jaws 3 (3D)”! He even emailed me some pictures.

Note: Though, they both share the same color, Jaws’ and my Dad’s models are slightly different.

Our original shirt is stored at the Tahitilab.
