Hi there, what’s up?Pedro & I are still at the lab producing Mehdi Zannad (aka Fugu) ‘s new album. It sounds great, and the fact that the songs are in French makes it quite exciting: it’s a challenge to make it sound as good as pop songs in English or Brazilian (as in Caetano Veloso). Our schedule is not as crazeee as it used to be, we tend to finish around 1 am. Back in the day when we were recording Fugu’s Here Today, it was totally out of control… I guess we’re old men, now! (btw it’s Mehdi’s birthday today!).How everybody’s doing?
Mederic often drops by to listen to the work in progress, Sylvain’s busy traveling back & forth from Paris (& Rouen), so unfortunately we don’t see him much these days, plus he’s expecting a “family extension” very shortly…so, we’ll catch up later. As you might have noticed we have added some shows to the list, Mederic & I will be in London on june 28th to do a showcase/acoustic live performance for a clothing company called “Queens of Sounds”, should be fun. We’re still working on new releases for Activity Center around the world (USA in perticular)…we’ll keep you posted.best,XPs1: for those who’ll be in Paris on June 2nd. Don’t miss the second TAHITI 80 party at LE MOTEL: Axe Riverboy reform for a unique show!!! with Julien “Lecube” Barbagallo opening and performing with me. Médéric will spin records afterwards.
