Music in a green time*

That’s it: the Asian “come back tour” is over. (our tour is nearly over too…sniff).
Last night, we performed in a huge venue (at least 6,000 were people in here) for the Green Space event (endorsed by a Dutch Beer company and produced by MTV). As always, it was interesting to watch Thai bands perform, and notice how the audience reacted to them (girls screaming “waoooo” when the male vocalists hit certain notes).
Before us played the “World Super Band” with famous musicians from all over the place, and our own Raphael Leger (aka le kid d’houppeville) covered songs from Queen, Jamiroquai & MJ’s covers. It was cool to watch him from the side of the stage. People loved it.
Then came our turn, we hit the stage, sticked to the hits, and it was already over! Soooo faaaaast, man! We played 30 minutes but it was great. From time to time I turned my back and watched what was happening on the huge screens behind us, we looked good.
For the final song, Big Day, we were joined by a Thai band , I can only guess it went OK, as I actually didn’t really hear a thing they played (!).
Then, for the 1,000th time this year we partied, going from places to other Gplaces, arriving too late everytime…and ended up in our rooms, emptying the mini bar while watching from our bay window the sun rising over bangkok.
Pedro and I will stay for a few more days, producing 2 songs for a a local indie band called Squeeze Animal. Fun!
