Ch-Ch-Chile!
Hola!
Still travelling round South America.
We left Buenos Aires one night ago and we are now in Chile, more precisely in Santiago. Our first impression is that both cities are quite different, B.A was strangely familiar and Santiago seems more “exotic”.
Lucky guys, we are. Indeed.
Last night was kinda quiet dinner in a Peruvian restaurant (really good) a relaxed home party in an apartment (a poor local cop visited us twice cause an old lady was complaining about the noise: he would ring, and say that he was sorry to bother us, that he couldn’t hear any crazy thing going on, but, you know, he had to do his job, etc…
Walking back to the hotel, we saw some of Santiago street dogs, they’re everywhere, big dogs, but they actually look quite “kawai” and peaceful. We also bumped into a bunch of nice bagpackers asking us if we wanted to join them for a visit to a local strip bar with hostesses serving you coffee. It definitely looked entertaining, but we declined politely the invitation.
We’re not only visiting, we sometimes do work!
Today, we did an acoustic session for Radio Horizonte. The 5 of us (including Mehdi from Fugu) performed some old & new songs. It was quite improvised, as we had never played the songs this way. It reminded me of The Beach Boys’ Party album. Cool.
Tonight we’ll attend our first Chilean BBQ party.
Great!
bye now,
Chavièr
