Hibernation
hé,
2 days ago, I guess we did what was the last French show of the Activity Center Tour. We played Paris’ new club Le Scopitone only a few days after getting back from South America. I guess we wanted to throw a party with an informal show before going into some kind of hibernation.
The show was fun, I’ve never been so close to an audience in years, it reminded me of our first shows at Rouen’s University (as a trio, with only 4 songs in our bag). It was cool, the couple in front of me, knew all the words (sorry for my mistakes on come around, guys), I could hear them sing even though I was wearing inears. Good Job.
What else? For the first time, I played the keys standing up, José our roadie/chef etc… tried his chance as a human stand, but it didn’t work (!), so I played in a very unorthodox position so the people at the back could see me. Now I know how singer/keyboardists felt in the 80’s. Awkward! And another first in years, was that we were 6 on stage for a while, as Mehdi & Julien joined forces for 3 songs (Antonelli, Big Day & 1,000 Times). That was cool. The night went smoothly hanging out in the red room of the club, with people visiting, smoking, drinking, yelling etc. A typical night in Paris.
Merci…and now,2 to go!
Let’s get ready for the states!
Xav
