long time no see! we’re back at the lab…

I don’t know if we told you before, but Sylvain our drummer suffers from tinnitus. Besides hearing white noise in his ears, most sounds are too loud for him to bear.

It means that a few years ago Sylvain had to stop playing live shows with us, and now he can’t even play drums on his/our albums anymore. It’s a tough situation for all of us.

We tried different ways an (electronic drumkit triggering real drum sounds) but it doesn’t do justice to Sylvain’s drumming. It’s a fucked up world, he’s a great musician but he can’t play his instrument anymore.

We’ve trashed 10 days of work and we’ve asked Julien, Axe Riverboy’s sticksman, to act as sylvain’s replacement for the sessions….
