Long time no see.

I guess the summer holidays reach their end, and it’s about time I dropped a line. Don’t know if you have followed our latest adventures, but we played a show near Saint Tropez (August 7th), in a camping…and believe me it wasn’t as bad as it looks on paper. We played with another French band called Poni Hoax to a motley crowd (mostly brown or red: the various tan overtones we witnessed on the camp’) and it was quite pleasing to hear people asking for “A Love From Outer Space” in this context.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun and it was Julien B first concert as a member of T80. Wearing -fake- spectacles (he said it was stress, I’d say it was trying to look cool) for his first show, we changed seats as I played the keys while he was hitting the congas. I guess it felt a bit like a pre-season game: what’s the new tactic? Which songs should we play? talking about this: DOES ANYBODY WANT US TO PERFORM SPECIFIC SONGS FOR THE NEXT TOUR? etc…

Next is a concert in, erm, BEIRUT! Pretty unthinkable, isn’t it?! August 25th.
From what we’ve heard The Big Bang Festival (hope the name has to do with the creation of the universe rather than…) takes place in a sea resort with loads of French bands (Maarten, Barbara Carlotti…) and a few international names (Mercury Rev)…Can’t believe we’ll share again the bill with The Wedding Present!

Then we”ll play in on September 6th in Murcia Spain. and that’ll be it for the training!
