2008? It was a pretty good year!

Hello,

I can’t believe how fast 2008 went.
Last January, I was in Japan promoting the Axe Riverboy album with 2 shows in Tokyo and Osaka (strangely enough I performed early versions of “One Parachute” & Brazil), I also spent a few days in a studio in Tokyo working on a single for a Japanese artist (Sarasa). Meanwhile, Pedro was in NYC working with Andy Chase’s Brookville project. February was spent rehearsing and writing new songs. In March, we put the final touch to Tahitilab Mk2, finished the news songs and started the sessions for what would become “Activity Center”. After 3 months (March, April/ May) of constant hard labour, our 4th album was recorded, mixed, mastered and it even had a front cover: we had never worked that fast!
In June, “The Activity Center Tour” officially started in Evreux at a festival where we played the full album (minus Ear To The Ground). During the summer, we practiced as a 5 piece, performed a few exhibition concerts in France and in the rest of Europe, and we also talked to the press. In September, serious business began, with promotional trip to Japan, a residency in the cool town of Saint Lo, Normandy, shows all over the place and ,yeah, oh yeah, the f****n’ release of Activity Center (in Japan and then in France!) October was a great month on a personal level, with a great sold out show in Paris. In November,we were back on the road in our country: France hadn’t changed that much except for free WiFi access at the venues (it wasn’t case during the Fosbury Tour). Just kidding, it was actually great to be back home after all this time…and then December…travels to eastern Asia, wonderful people, packed shows, spice contest, one more time by Daft Punk, western wear (both meanings of the word)…and then back home, and ready to start all over again.

Thanks for your support, we love you!
