Last Nite’s Pre Alhambra party was really cool.
The evening truly began with an acoustic performance from Mehdi Zannad aka Fugu. I joined him on 3 songs (Straight From The Heart & Here Today both taken from his excellent second album “As Found”…plus a Bye Bye Love a cover of The Everly Brothers). Mehdi played 2 encores, as noone wanted him to leave the small stage of The Motel. Excellent start!

Then, I deejayed (while folllowing the results of France’s football game on my cell phone), I played selfishly some of fav tunes (“It feels like home except that it’s louder, that the beer comes in pints and that I have to pay for it, but that’s great” said one of our friends), and it felt great.
Meanwhile People were given questionaries, rebus of T80’s song titles prepared by Pointard & Roubignole from We Want 2 Rigoler (ww2w). Winners were announced to the sweet sounds of “Couac Couac”. Then WW2W crew took over and then Mederic took control of the desks and then it was time to go (home and eat a kebab on the way, how rock’n’roll!)
